Helsby Public Cemetery
The cemetery is owned and managed by Helsby Parish Council for and on behalf of the residents of Helsby.
It is situated on Chester Road and can be accessed either via gates on Old Chester Road or Chester Road. The postcode of the cemetery is: WA6 9JY.
All the funds raised annually through cemetery income are placed into the council’s financial reserves to earmark funds for future burial space.
We have availability for both full plots and cremated remains plots.
The cemetery administration is performed by our burial clerk, Claire Jones.

Extension Area Project
During May 2025, contractors began work on the cemetery extension area.
This landscaping project will provide an additional 62 grave plots in a new ‘lawned’ section of the cemetery. Works will include levelling the ground, laying concrete rafters for new graves, and performing some minor landscaping works.

Contractors will be on site during weekdays from 7:30am to 5:00pm for up to four weeks from 6th May 2025. While they will strive to keep noise levels to a minimum, we appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
